With extensive experience in transport infrastructure, road safety, and active travel, RyCo supports projects from initial assessment and concept development through to detailed design and implementation.

Road Safety Audits

We are independent Road Safety Auditors, providing Stage 1, Stage 2, Stage 3 and Stage 4 Road Safety Audits in accordance with all relevant TII standards and guidance throughout the project lifecycle. Our audits identify potential safety issues for all road users and deliver practical, evidence-based recommendations to improve safety outcomes and reduce risk.

All audits are undertaken by Chartered Engineers who are fully TII-approved Road Safety Auditors, with extensive experience in road design, traffic engineering, and transport infrastructure projects. Our expertise ensures robust, independent assessments that support the successful delivery of safer and more efficient road networks.

DMURS Quality Audits

DMURS Quality Audits assess developments, streets, and public realm schemes against the principles set out in the Design Manual for Urban Roads and Streets (DMURS). Audits review quality, accessibility, safety, and functionality of proposed and existing streetscapes for all users, with particular emphasis on pedestrian and cyclist movement, placemaking, and sustainable transport integration. Clear, practical recommendations are provided to assist local authorities, developers, and design teams

Road Design
